Day 5 - Purpose

Purpose is a mysterious thing. It's what we all try to figure out our whole lives. Purpose is complicated; that's probably why we all don't really find exactly what were looking for. Isn't purpose part of legacy? In fact, it is legacy, right?

I think so. Purpose is supposed to be like a clear, explicit instruction that tells you what to do with your life...right?

Here's the dictionary definition of purpose:

"the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists."

It seems simple in a definition, but, if you've ever had a question like, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" It doesn't seem that simple anymore.

It's like saying, "Why do you matter? What could you ever bring to the world?" And the really tough thing is that purpose is different for everyone. There is no one size-fits-all single purpose. And no one who can really answer purpose for everyone, either.

Just like 'The pursuit of happiness", purpose is a thing we may come close to having, but never attain. I guess purpose is still related to what your goals and ambitions are.
